Drive-In
So last night we decided to go to the drive-in movies. The last time Lance went was in high school. The last time I went I believe I saw 'Finding Nemo', so it was a while ago too. I have always loved going to drive-ins! The first one I ever remember going to was when I was little with my family. We saw '101 Dalmatians' and 'Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken'. Great Movies! I don't remember if it was when we lived in Vegas or if we had already moved to IF. So last night we packed the truck up with our sleeping bags and lots of pillows and blankets (it's times like this I really wish we had a LoveSac!) and headed over to see 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'Indiana Jones'. We both enjoyed Panda, it was pretty funny and Lance was laughing a lot....for the first part at least. Why you may ask?! Well Lance fell asleep part way through the first one and slept through pretty much all of the 2nd one. Sheesh!!! It's not like he was the one who only had like 4 hours of sleep in the past 42 hours (I worked Thurs night and didn't sleep much when I got home Friday morning, which isn't unusual on my last day working, so I can sleep that night). So I pretty much watched the movies by myself. Indian Jones was pretty good too, like the other ones except there was one part at the end I didn't like. There was the really random weirdness that happened that just seemed a little out of place for the movie. Oh well! Half-way through Indian Jones I went to see why our stereo wasn't on anymore, I had been noticing for a while that I couldn't hear as well. I woke Lance up and we discovered our battery had died. That whole thing just was weird to me because I've never had that happen when I've gone to the drive in and I've been to quite a few in my years. So after the movie was over we had to have someone help jump start the truck. So for future reference does anyone have any suggestions how to prevent such from occurring?

Ace's rough day
So yesterday Lance came home and had Ace's broken collar in his hand and told me Ace got his face all scrapped up. I guess on the way to a job site Ace's sister, Pepper, accidentally bumped him off the back of the flatbed or something and he fell off. Luckily they were just going around a corner so they weren't going very fast. Somehow his collar caught on something and it broke and Ace landed on the pavement. When Lance got out to check to see if he was alright poor little Ace was just standing there in shock, not sure what to think. He chin was scrapped and bloody but luckily that was all. If he had fallen closer into the truck the trailer they were pulling probably would have gone right over him, not a good thing considering the ummm whatever it's called heavy riding, digging, pushing dirt around thing was on the trailer (sorry my mind went blank). :) Ace soon forgot the whole thing and was back to playing and running around with Pepper when they got to the job site. You can't see it great in this picture with his dark fur but he has some pavement burn going on.

Fun Day!
So Kandra, Sydnee and I took a day trip to American Falls to go see my other SIL Jami and her family. We had a bow making day. It was so much fun!! I was a dummy and didn't get my camera out so there's no pictures of the event. My niece Paige absolutely loved all the bows! After her nap she just sat at the table with us watching and asking, "Are there more bows to try on?" It was cute! Her eyes absolutely lit up when she saw the bows her mom had made for her. She's such a girly girl. I love getting together with my SILs, it's always so much fun! Here's one of the bows I made that day.

Sydnee's new friend
So once again, I apologize for the bad video job! I couldn't decide what I was doing.
Lance's sister Kandra and our niece Sydnee came over for dinner last night and we discovered that Sydnee now likes Ace. She has always been wary of him and would watch him from a distance but would have none of him when he tried to get close. She'd freak out! So I guess she has now decided that he's not so scary and that they can be friends because last night she kept looking for him, watching him, and reaching out for him. It was so funny to watch them! Sydnee would just giggle and smile. She was loving it when he was licking her feet when she was sitting on the chair. It was funny because she kept shoving her whole hand in his mouth. Ace loved having a new hand to lick! Come to think of it now maybe it was the sun screen on Sydnee he liked licking so much. YUCK! It was cute to watch her interact with him. And we were proud of Ace because he did a pretty good job of not overwhelming her too much. He usually does that around kids because he just LOVES kids and gets so excited around them! Sydnee would grab back with her scratchy little claws in his face to keep him at bay. For those who have been around her you know how sneaky her fingers are! :)
It was fun having them over last night! (We missed you Brandon!)
Father's Day
We have two wonderful fathers! We love you dad!

A Happy End
So a few weeks ago we found this brand new little kitten hiding under our lawn mower on the side of the house. When I say brand new I mean eyes not even open yet. It was so tiny and cute except for the guck it had all over his eyes. Obviously a sick little kitty! The animal shelter was already closed for the night and I was getting ready to leave for work so we put it in the garage to at least keep it warm and hoped for the best. I was very worried since it had probably been a long time since it had eaten anything. But this video is Ace's reaction to the kitty. He is use to them running, at which points he chases them and absolutely loves doing it! Well this kitty threw him for a loop because it would just walk towards him trying to make a friend. I guess Ace must have smelled more like a cat than we do or something. :) Ace didn't know what to do with a cat who wasn't running but instead coming towards him. He would start to back up and just look at us with this quizzical expression but quickly looking back to the kitty to make sure it wasn't getting to close. It was quite hilarious! This video doesn't show his reaction the best since I think he had started to kind of get use to it and the "odd" reactions to him.
Anywho, in the morning, when I got home from work, much to my relief the kitty was still alive so I was able to drop it off at the shelter. There's a couple of my young women who work their so I asked one of them a couple weeks later what happened to the poor little kitty (I had also called and bugged them the night I found the kitten to ask what to do with it. I was very worried it wouldn't make it through the night because she said they needed to be fed every few hours). She said it had been taken in by one of the shelters "foster parents" until it got better and got bigger. She also said it would be up for adoption soon. I was very glad to hear there was a happy end for the kitten. Lance found my reactions of worrying about the kitten quite silly but of course, for those who know him, know that he hates cats so you can't expect much love from him towards the feline species.

Twin Falls Temple Open House Tickets

Poor little Ace!
So we went up to Boise Friday night with Lance's sister Kandra and her family to go do temple work with his aunt and uncle and cousins. Since we were coming back Saturday afternoon we opted to just leave Ace at home and have one of our friends come and let him out and feed him and such. The temple was lovely as always and it was great spending time with family! Thanks again Tim & Katie for the BBQ at your house! (Lance's side Tim & Katie btw, since some of you know my brother Tim also married a Katie, just so people don't get confused) Their little boy Marcus was so cute with Sydnee, holding her and giving her hugs. Unfortunately my camera was out of batteries. So you don't get to see it, just to be told that it was cute! So with all those fun times we also got some not so fun news. Our friend called that morning to tell us she discovered when she went to let Ace out in the morning that he had a not so fun night. I guess he had the runs which he got on his bed and then proceeded to jump the baby gate (we keep him in the laundry room at night, blocked in) and made a not so pleasant mess all over our living room carpet. Did he go on the linoleum at all, no! Just the carpet. Ace has never jumped the gate before and is always very good about staying put during the night so it was kind of surprising. The only thing we can figure is the poor little guy felt so yucky and was trying so hard not to go inside (he hasn't had an accident inside for a long time) and jumped the gate in search of us. Probably thinking, "where are you?! I need to go out?!" We weren't mad at him, cause how can you be mad at somebody for being sick. I felt completely awful for our friend thought who cleaned it up for us. What a great gift for being so nice and watching Ace for us! Needless to say we owe her big time! When we got home it stunk and was still gross looking (our friend hadn't scrubbed to much since she didn't know what we liked to use, which was fine by me. I would've felt worse if she'd done that). I pulled out our spot cleaner and scrubbed and scrubbed. It came out pretty good except in a few spots that you can still kind of see. So does anybody have any amazing products they like for getting carpet stains out? I'd really like the stain to be ALL gone, so please help if you have suggestions!!
