A Mommy's kiss makes it all better
Today Carter came crying to me from his room to where I was at in the kitchen. It was his "fake" cute cry he does. When he got to me he bent his head in towards me saying, "bonk, bonk." One kiss from me to the bonked head and an "all better" and he was off back playing with the toys. Apparently mommy's kiss can fix everything.

Thankful
For Thanksgiving this year my parents came up to join us. It was wonderful having them here and I don't know what I would have done without them here. They were great! Carter loved spending all that time with his grandparents.
By the end of the day Carter was pretty worn out. He actually fell asleep with me on the couch, which never happens because he's always too busy jumping on me when we are on the couch. I always savor the few times that this actually happens and I get to feel like I'm cuddling with him.
Here are a few other pictures from this month to enjoy.
I got Carter a place mat to see if we could keep the table a little cleaner. He loves trains and was excited about his new place mat.
Carter still has a love/hate relationship with the vacuum. He hates when it's on, he goes running and crying away. But he loves talking about the vacuum and pointing to it. He also sometimes goes over and kisses it and tells it goodbye when we leave. We think it's pretty funny.
I just thinking this is a funny face. I think it's a mid saying "cheese" face.
This is what happens when someone refuses to take naps....he falls asleep while eating. Funny thing is, he'll keep eating for a little bit while he's falling asleep.

Talking in Sentences
Carter is growing up so fast and surprising me every day with the new things he starts saying. Carter is now saying/repeating four word sentences such as "Don't touch it please" "Carter eat it mom." I love being able to talk with him more.

Unpleasant First
This morning when I went in to check on Carter I was met by an unpleasant smell we have not previously experienced with him. Poor Carter was laying in puke. When I asked him what had happened, he babbled something about "mess in bed." I told him he should have called mommy. I got him cleaned up in the bath, washed his clothes and sheets, and cleaned up the bit the had fallen on the carpet. I tried to start the day easy with just some bread and water. Carter quickly started asking for other food and soon seemed to be back to his regular self. I was glad that the morning incident was the only one. Hopefully the only one for a while.
Halloween
This year I just bought a costume for Carter. He loves lion books so I thought it would be so cute to have him be a lion. He always calls lions "roar." However the weeks coming up to Halloween we discovered he was scared of the costume. Every time I'd get it out he'd run away saying, "No roar, no roar!" We took it over to our ward's trunk or treat and put it on after dinner. He fought us the whole time and once we had it on he kept pulling at it trying to get it off. After a few minutes though he seemed to forget about it or maybe he just gave up. He quickly figured out people were putting treats in his bag so then kept trying to reach down to the bottom of his bag while we were walking to get the candy back out so he could eat it. This boy loves candy. We have to keep an eye on him because if he finds some he'll try eating right through the wrapper to get to it. Finally had a happy boy at the party for a picture!
On Monday night I took him out to a few houses of some people that we know close by. He got in his costume much easier when I told him if he wanted to go get treats he needed to get in his lion costume. He didn't cooperate very much for a picture with his pumpkin. A friend of his gave him a pumpkin from their garden. It was a cute little pumpkin and we did nothing with it but let it sit there and look cute.
Don't you love the candy droll on little kids!
