Washington D.C. Day 5

On Tuesday we went to the National Archives. The line to get in wasn't too bad so we only had to wait a short while to get through security. Once inside the stroller proved to be our magic ticket again. We got out of the elevator to go into the room that has the Declaration of Independence, Bill or Rights, etc and a lady ushered us right into the top, so we didn't have to wait in the line to get up to look at them because their were stairs between the line and the documents. Sweet! Carter had more fun outside the Archives climbing the stairs. After having some lunch we went to the Museum of Natural History. Carter was so excited we he saw the animals.... and then there was a moment of confusion on his face when they didn't move or respond to him. He soon didn't seem to care anymore that they weren't moving and enjoyed looking at them all the same. Carter walked around a lot of the time in here and didn't like to take time for picture stops. He was really excited with the fish tank and the moving fish. Lance loved dinosaurs when he was little. It will be interesting to see if Carter does too when he gets older. You'll notice his pacifier in a lot of the pictures. At home he only has it during nap and sleeping time. While on our trip we were a little more forgiving with that rule since we were dragging him all over the place and he only got short naps in the stroller. He was a trooper! Checking out the White House. It's amazing how "small" it seems in person compared to many of the other building in D.C. On the other side of the White House. Carter was not pleased with being picked up from his stroll for another photo opportunity. Lance's Birthday Apple Pie. 27, he's getting old! :)
